Gaia Tools was started on February 03rd, 2006 by WindPowa. It started by a URL redirector that removed Gaia's warning frame. As of now, this redirector has been put offline due to TOS issues. The number of available tools progressively increased, and it still does.
As Gaia Tools expanded its tools array, its popularity increased, and hosting and bandwidth issues appeared. I (WindPowa) bought the domain name "gaiatools.com" along with a paid hosting package. While bandwidth and space is not an issue anymore, costs are. WindPowa is a mere 17 year old student with no income at all, hence the necessity of Google ads at the bottom of the page. WindPowa hates them as much as you do, but Gaia Tools had to live, and therefore he had to make some income. This site is also supported by his two other sites, N0d.us and Biringa.

As Gaia Tools's popularity still increases, hosting and bandwidth costs rise. Bandwidth consumption has been greatly increased due to the recent release of shoutboxes.
