GaiaTools Security Update

Some users may be seeing the following when attempting to acces http://gaiatools.com

This web page at gaiatools.com has been reported as a deceptive site and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Deceptive sites are designed to trick you into doing something dangerous, like installing software, or revealing your personal information, like passwords, phone numbers or credit cards.

Entering any information on this web page may result in identity theft or other fraud.

This message is/was preventing some users from accessing portions of the GaiaTools Website.   To protect our users and to prevent this warning in the future, we have implemented SSL (via HTTPS) across the entire site.  The site will redirect you to our "https://gaiatools.com" address whenever the site is accessed via the non-secure "http" protocol.  We implemented this on Monday, December 12, 2016 at about 12:30AM.   This should not affect random signatures or any other tools using the GaiaTools domain.

Please rest assured that we are not attempting to steal your identity and our site has not been compromised.   Google and Mozilla have recently implemented new security checks against registered (crawled) Websites to help identify sites that may be deceptive.   Our logon page and account management page did not use SSL and is one reason why the site was flagged as non-compliant.   We have had an SSL certificate for some time, but had not yet implemented the SSL protocol for our "secure" pages.   We decided to implement SSL for all pages with the exception of the the random signature pages served to Websites such as Gaia Online.

It will take up to 72 hours before Google and Mozilla remove the affected pages from the blocked list.  In the meantime, you can ignore the warning.

Thank you for your patience as we strive to bring you the best in Gaia tools.
